Bernadette SweeneyBernadette Sweeney is the director of "The Gathering: Collected Oral Histories of the Irish in Montana," a project that has taken her across the state where she has met many fabulous Irish Montanans. She did her doctoral research at Trinity College Dublin and published Performing the Body in Irish Theatre (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008). In 2010 she published The Theatre of Tom Mac Intyre: Strays from the Ether (Carysfort Press), co-edited by Marie Kelly. She has worked as an actor and director, as well as a theatre and performance lecturer, and was faculty at University College Cork, Ireland until 2008. She has directed numerous plays while living in Montana.
