Kristi Niemeyer grew up in the Orchard Homes, a Missoula neighborhood, when orchards flourished there. She's the editor and co-publisher of Lively Times, an arts and entertainment monthly she launched 18 years ago with her friend, Sue, in an effort to keep themselves employed and informed. It accomplishes both of those things. She also edits and writes for State of the Arts, the Montana Arts Council's newspaper. She lives in Polson, where she's a gardener who can't seem to grow lettuce, the mom of two handsome, kind, adventuresome sons, and the chief walker and feeder of a pair of personable canines.
