CONTRIBUTOR BIO Deborah Schaffer is Professor of English at Montana State University Billings, where she teaches linguistics, composition, and genre literature. She was the chair of the Language Attitudes and Popular Linguistics area of the Popular Culture Association from 1991 to 2005, and she has had articles published in The Journal of Pragmatics, English Today, The Journal of Popular Culture, and ETC.: A Review of General Semantics, among other venues. |
